Barcaddy Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 May 2026
Barcaddy is an offline barcode, QR code and loyalty card wallet for Android. This policy explains, in plain language, what data Barcaddy handles and what it does with it.
Short version
Barcaddy does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you add to the app stays on your device. The app has no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
What data Barcaddy stores
When you add a card, Barcaddy stores the following on your device only:
- The card’s barcode value or QR code content
- A label you give the card (e.g. “ACME Store”)
- Optional notes or colour you assign
This data is held in the app’s local storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. Barcaddy does not have a cloud sync feature.
Permissions Barcaddy uses
Barcaddy requests one permission:
- Camera — used solely to scan barcodes when you add a new card. The camera is active only while the scan screen is open. No images or video are saved or transmitted. The camera feed is processed on-device and discarded.
Data you can delete
You can remove cards individually at any time. The app also includes a “Clear all cards” option in settings, which deletes every card from your device. Uninstalling Barcaddy removes all stored data.
Children
Barcaddy is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
Barcaddy does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, crash reporters, or advertising libraries. No data leaves your device through Barcaddy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a future version of Barcaddy, the updated version will be posted at the same URL and the “Last updated” date above will be revised.
